This February, we wrapped up our 4th annual First Responder & Medical Professional Appreciation Contest, a tradition that continues to grow stronger each year. Sponsored by BigIron Realty agents Jim and John Stock, the contest invited Nebraska residents to nominate first responders and medical professionals who have gone above and beyond for their communities. The response was overwhelming, with more than 100 heartfelt nominations pouring in.   **Stories That Inspire** "We just want to give back and recognize these professions that don't get the acknowledgment they deserve," John Stock shared. "Some of the stories we read during the selection process will literally bring you to tears." After carefully reviewing each nomination, four remarkable individuals were selected to receive a $250 Visa gift card and a special in-person visit from Jim and John Stock to express their gratitude: **Charlie Oborny** – Firefighter **Stephanie James** – EMT Paramedic **Brad Krohn** – Fire Chief **Trent Tarr** – Firefighter These winners represent just a fraction of the dedicated professionals serving our communities, and while only a few could be chosen, BigIron Realty celebrates the courage and compassion shown by all first responders and medical workers.   **What’s Next? Teacher Appreciation Giveaway 2025** The giving doesn’t stop there! Next up is our annual Teacher Appreciation Giveaway, running from March 12, 2025, to March 24, 2025. We’ll be awarding two teachers with a $250 Visa gift card each as a way to say thank you for their hard work and dedication to shaping future generations. Community members are encouraged to nominate teachers who have made a lasting impact on their schools and communities. The winners will be announced on March 28, 2025. "Teachers play such a pivotal role in shaping future generations, and we want to show them how much they are valued," said John Stock. "We encourage everyone to take a moment and nominate a teacher who’s made a difference in their life." Details about the contest and nomination process will be available on the [Jim Stock and John Stock, BigIron Realty Facebook page](https://www.facebook.com/JimandJohnStock).   **Rooted in Community** Jim and John Stock, who grew up on a small family farm, have always been deeply connected to the heartland. They specialize in selling farms and ranches across Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and South Dakota — and their passion for serving local communities extends far beyond real estate.
